As a church, through our giving, we are privileged to support the work of Kidz Klub.

Kidz Klub started twenty-six years ago with the following vision:

‘ … to see lasting transformation through the love of God for the most vulnerable unreached children, their families and communities in Leeds’

The organisation began with three partner churches and now there are twenty-two churches who support the work amongst children and families in the seventeen most deprived communities in Leeds and in the 10% most deprived communities in the UK.

‘Children are the community shakers and nation shakers and our job is to help them shine.’

‘Our dream is to let every child know they belong, they are loved and they are delightful through the never giving up, never ending, never running out love of God.’

Children belonging to Kidz Klub currently have access to a weekly meeting at Bridge Street Community Church, where over 300 children attend. Seven buses are needed to transport the children to the meeting.

Smaller community hub groups based in Holbeck, Beeston and Middleton also meet, and each child connected with Kidz Klub receives a weekly doorstep visit by two Kidz Klub workers to receive information about local activities and provide support where needed. Currently, there is a waiting list for children to attend.

Over twenty-six years, 28,000 children have been reached and 707,000 home visits have been made through the work of a dedicated staff and volunteer team, and prayer partners and supporters undergird this Kingdom work.

Each number is an individual child who has experienced the love of God in action, the joy of belonging and the hope that Jesus brings.

In 1 Corinthians, the Apostle Paul wrote: ‘I planted the seed, Apollos watered it but God has been making it grow. So neither the one who plants nor the one who waters is anything, but only God who makes things grow’

We are participating in a marvellous opportunity to support this exciting work which brings hope and the light of Christ into challenged places. Let’s continue to help plant and water these seeds for our children for their future.
