A celebration of the brilliant community champions who have done something special to raise funds for the building project.

Anna
Plant Sale
Raised: £19.50
Anna was delighted to raise £19.50 from house plants she and her children propagated at home.
Josh
Guess the weight of the pumpkin
Raised: £220

Josh grew a special pumpkin that reached the fantastic weight of 4.6 kg. He said the secret of its large size was ‘rain, manure and trailing the vine through the pear tree’. With such an impressive pumpkin, he and his grandfather had the excellent idea of running a Guess the Weight competition. £220 was raised and the lucky winner took away the pumpkin.

Anna and the Games Community
Board Game Day
Raised: £129.50
At this term’s Board Games Day, Anna had the bright idea of serving her native Italian speciality, pizza, to raise money for the Building Project. The rainy weather increased her customers as it was too wet for people to go out to buy a sandwich. Anna could have made twice as much pizza and still had none left over. She was delighted to make £129.50 and hopes to make more pizza next time…..

Around 40 guests enjoyed a varied musical evening listening to Katy Kelly and her singing students perform a wide range of songs from arias to numbers from musicals, solos and duets accompanied by Delyth Robson. It was a pleasure to welcome the appreciative audience who kindly donated £408.70 to the building project.
