I just want to take a moment to say thank you.
To this church, to the people who welcomed me before they really knew me, and to the people who listened, encouraged, prayed, supported, and stayed.
Thank you for being a place of peace in seasons where life felt heavy. Thank you for every conversation, every prayer, every smile, every kind word, every moment of patience and understanding that probably felt small to you but meant so much to me.
Thank you to the people who guided me gently when I felt lost, to the people who believed in me when I struggled to believe in myself, and to the people who created space for me to grow, ask questions, serve, learn, and slowly become more confident in who I am.
Church became more than somewhere I attended; It became somewhere I belonged.
I honestly don’t think I would be the person I am today without my faith and without this community. Without God, I don’t think I would have found healing in the same way. And without the people around me, I don’t think I would have learned how to express myself, grow, trust people again, or move forward from the things I carried for so long.
You helped me find my voice again. You helped quiet the noise. You helped me realise that growth does not always happen loudly; sometimes it happens through simply being loved consistently and safely over time.
So thank you. For all the unseen things you do. For every act of kindness. For every moment of guidance. For every time you reminded me that I was not alone.
I will always be grateful for the part this church has played in my story.
