Our Games Day on 13th June was another great success, bringing together people of all ages for a day filled with games, conversation and community. Across the day we welcomed 87 people, including 20 children.

This was our 15th Games Day, building on the successes and lessons learned from previous events while also trying some exciting new ideas. Alongside all the usual Games Day favourites, we introduced game demonstrations, escape puzzle games with the developer, and a social deduction game, all of which were well received.

At the heart of Games Day is our desire to bring the wider community together and provide a welcoming space where local people and families can enjoy spending time together. Hosting the event in the church also creates opportunities to share why we run Games Day and our weekly Games Community, as well as highlighting the other activities and events that take place at church.

As with previous Games Days, money raised through the tuck shop, pizzas (thank you, Anna!), and donations made during the day is given to our building project. Although Games Day is completely free to attend, many people generously choose to contribute. This time we raised £150.40 towards the building project.

Thank you to everyone who came along, volunteered, donated, or helped make the day such a success.

We're already looking forward to our next Games Day on Saturday 3rd October, 10.00am–6.00pm. We hope to see you there!
