St Paul's Church Ireland Wood
We are an Anglican Church seeking to be a “Growing Community, Shaped by Jesus” for North Leeds and beyond. This means we want people to find a place they can belong, be a part of something that builds and enhances the local community, and discover Jesus and be shaped by him.
We have two services on a Sunday that are distinctive in style as we are all different. We gather together between the services for refreshments and a chance to get to know one another better at 10.30am in the Church Hall.
This is a formal liturgical service with Holy Communion each week (also known as Eucharist). Components of the liturgy may be sung, there are hymns led by the organ or a music group, a short sermon based on the bible readings and times of prayer and reflection.
This is an informal service that is accessible for all ages. It is interactive with singing led by a band, a short talk based on bible readings, and activities to help us pray and reflect on Jesus and our lives. There are activities for children.
